June Nonprofit News: Economic Uncertainty

Economic Uncertainty and Your Nonprofit

To pass the debt ceiling agreement, $136 billion in federal spending were cut and $30 billion were rolled back in unspent COVID-19 relief funds. For many nonprofits, this may mean fewer contracts and grants from federal government agencies.

We are also grappling with inflation, widespread employee burnout, staffing shortages, and increased demand for services. So, what can your nonprofit do to make sure you are carrying out your mission during this economic uncertainty?

  • Learn about the post-pandemic climate and what to expect.
  • Resist calls to grow, and find 5 other actions to take amid economic uncertainty.
  • Access free resources on nonprofit operations.
  • Use bonuses to help stretch budgets and retain fundraisers.
  • Contact BVU to get help through consulting, pro bono assistance, and more.
