The Music Settlement

The Music Settlement is seeking a Project Accountant to help in achieving specific project goals that are crucial to achieving its financial goals set by the Board of Directors.  Projects include transition to new accounting software and preparation for the annual audit.

The Music Settlement was established in 1912, is dedicated to promoting creativity, inspiring success and imparting positive cultural values for the development of healthy communities. We operate three artistic Centers across two campuses – Center for Music, Center for Early Childhood Education, and Center for Music Therapy – as well as the Bop Stop performance venue. Our historic University Circle campus is 108 years old, while our new Ohio City campus opened in August 2018. The MISSION of The Music Settlement is to welcome all tour music and arts community to learn, create, inspire and heal.

Fellow role will include:

  • Working closely with the Director of Finance and VP of Finance and Administration
  • Ensuring accounting records are complete and accurate
  • Assisting in implementation of new accounting system
  • Testing and design of financial reports
  • Updating schedules, entering data, and reviewing accounts
  • Assisting with preparation of the annual audit

 

Term: 250 hours over a 6-month period (March 2021 – June 2021)

Stipend: $5,000

The ideal candidate will have significant professional experience in accounting and finance. Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.
