About Cleveland ReStore

Part home improvement store, part home goods store, part thrift store, each Habitat for Humanity “ReStore” sells new and gently used building materials, appliances, and home furnishings donated by companies, contractors, retailers, and individuals. Proceeds from every ReStore purchase help Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity provide local families with the opportunity to achieve their dream of homeownership and reduces the amount of useable items being thrown into landfills.

About the Position

Schedule: 8-16 hours per week
Reports to: ReStore Director
Location: Cleveland ReStore, 2110 W. 110th St Cleveland, OH

The Ecommerce Intern will be responsible for launching and maintaining Ecommerce channel(s) for the Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Items will arrive from all three ReStore locations, needing to be sorted, researched, photographed and listed. Duties include pricing, packaging and promotions along with assisting with in-store pick-ups during business hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor, write and update product content contained on eBay and e-Commerce
websites/portals.
• Work with ReStore Director and other relevant staff and/or volunteers to provide updated
content to be shared across e-Commerce platforms.
• Maintain standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, and new
product listings.
• Responsible for cleaning, researching, pricing, and listing up to 25 items per day on eBay
or other platforms.
• Responsible for finding the best shipping prices. Pack items for safe shipping and arrange
and manage pick up of packages at the ReStore by local package companies. Drop off
packages as needed.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of account-specific SEO best practices, pricing
policies, media assets, inventory and/or pre-orders.
• Drive the sales performance of the e-commerce platform (Online store template;
Amazon; E-bay).
• Provide insights into customer shopping trends to support assortment selection and
identify assortment gaps.
• Ensure good customer service by addressing and ensuring the timely resolution of
customer issues or comments.
• Work closely with ReStore Director and assigned staff to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
• Multi-task, prioritize and successfully meet several deadlines at once while maintaining
attention to detail.
• Ensure that daily tasks are completed by either completing yourself and/or assigning
tasks to staff and/or volunteers.
• Facilitate the logical and attractive display of merchandise and in-store marketing of our
online store.
• Follow and update (as needed) ReStore safety standards.
• Help maintain organization and cleanliness in assigned workspace.
• Other duties as assigned by ReStore Director.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma / GED at minimum.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES
• Have at least 2 years proven experience managing and maintaining an online store and
other sales platforms (E-Commerce, Amazon, eBay)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Possess a strong knowledge of eCommerce platforms including competitive strategies,
marketing strategies, product development, consumer research, usability best practices,
and industry trends.
• Possess a high level of attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple
competing priorities simultaneously.
• You have a self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced working environment.
• Creative and strategic thinker with strong customer orientation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, lead groups and develop people
• Must pass background check including criminal records and sex offender registry prior to
offer of employment.
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and other GCHFH staff.
• Must have commitment to the Habitat mission and uphold its values and ethics.
