An effective working relationship between board and staff leadership is essential to ensure successful mission delivery and advancement.  This hands-on workshop will address the partnership and role of board leaders in guiding and shaping a board to advance the organization to achieve its full potential.

· Accountability (dashboard and board member expectations)
· Nonprofit lifecycle and key transitions (the role of board leaders to facilitate transitions)
· Effective meetings (role of board and staff in preparing for board and committee meetings)
· Effective leadership (criteria for effective board and staff leadership; succession planning)
