Creating a Culture of Innovation
June 11 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am
$30 – $60
ABOUT THE SESSION
At Google, employees are encouraged to spend 20% of their workday on innovative thinking. For nonprofits, even five minutes away from daily demands can feel like a luxury. But what if those five minutes could change everything?
Join BVU on June 11th to explore how innovation really works in the nonprofit world — not as a buzzword, but as a mindset and muscle that can be developed even in the face of tight budgets, heavy workloads, and shifting external pressures.
Led by organizational development experts at Switch Innovation Lab, this energizing 90-minute session will provide simple-but-effective ways to embrace innovation using the time and team you already have!
After attending, you’ll be able to:
- Pinpoint and address the organizational dynamics that may be holding your team back from fresh thinking.
- Operationalize innovation in your organization, creating space for strategic thinking without meetings or homework.
- Frame exploratory projects using language and metrics that resonate with funders.
- Support the different-but-important roles staff and board members play in driving innovation.
- Navigate and evaluate new opportunities from a strategic lens.
Innovation doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Whether you’re considering an organizational overhaul or simply trying to create more breathing room for creativity, you’ll leave the session with practical tools and renewed energy to move your organization forward, one step at a time.
