Business Volunteers Unlimited is pleased to announce a Fellow Opportunity with Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County

Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) is seeking an experienced financial specialist fellow to assist the organization in transformation of financial management and strategies. The Fellow will review current financial processes and finance staff positions to make recommendations to improve efficiency for the ADAMHS Board.

Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County is responsible for the planning, funding and monitoring of public mental health and addiction treatment and recovery services delivered to the residents of Cuyahoga County. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our community through a commitment to excellence in mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery services coordinated through a person-centered network of community supports.

The fellow role will include:

  • Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer
  • Conduct a high-level evaluation of current financial systems
  • Develop and execute best practice procedures to financial staff and recommendations for process improvements
  • Provide financial management support and present the results to Executive Team
  •  Assist with the execution of a new financial system and documentation of processes

Term: 600 hours over a 6 – month period (March 2019 – September 2019)
Location: 2012 W. 25th Street, 6th Floor Cleveland, OH 44113
Stipend: $12,000

The ideal candidate will have significant professional experience in finance. Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.
